When planning diets for Hypoglycemia,
one must take into account that each diet must be individualized according to patients
age, height, weight, activity level, medication and other medical conditions
associated with the disease such as fatigue, depression, and disequilibrium.
For each diet, I calculate out the percentage of carbohydrate, protein and fat and total calories
and translate it into an individual diet plan that will work for any age from children to seniors.
Meal planning, sample menus, and nutrition education are
important components of a successful hypoglycemic plan.
Most of my patients quickly feel better after they start the plan.
